Having experienced dissatisfaction with competitors' products on the market, they turned to Armus for a solution. An osmosis-preventative primer

Osmosis is the movement of water through a semi-permeable membrane, such as the fiberglass or gel coat layer of a vessel's hull, and can lead to hull blistering.

Gelcoat is a semipermeable coating, and moisture can penetrate this layer and become trapped between your hull’s fiberglass laminate and gelcoat, causing hull blisters.

Blisters can compromise the vessel's overall strength and structural integrity and make it susceptible to further damage.

Poseidon Extreme’s primer is an ultra-hard epoxy that seals your hull, preventing osmosis and blistering. This extra base-layer can be applied over gelcoat, or over traditional bottom paints as long as they are sanded before application.

SIMPLE APPLICATION AND HULL MAINTENANCE

Midnight Express applied Poseidon Extreme primer using a roller. It was allowed to fully dry and cure over 24 hours.

Seeking a high-gloss mirror finish, Midnight Express used Hull Pro, which is included in the Poseidon Extreme kit. Hull Pro was mixed and expertly sprayed onto the hull beneath the waterline over the Poseidon Extreme primer. No additional sanding was necessary on the primer before Hull Pro application, and it cured in 24 hours.

Armus recommends waiting for a full 48 hours post-curing (72 hours post-application) before launching the vessel.
