At Armus, we believe in protecting and prolonging the lifespan of your vessel. Originating from use on Greek cargo ships, we’ve developed Hull Pro, our clear hull protectant for commercial and personal use. We know what’s in the market today, and we’ve done real-world tests and demos to compare our product with what’s out there.
Hull Pro gives you more coverage, lasts longer, and self-levels better than others. See how these two hull protectants stack up and how Hull Pro out-protects and out-performs the competition.

Using Hull Pro offers hull protection and better fuel and speed performance; however, regular maintenance is still required. If you want a beautiful hull, we recommend cleaning your vessel at least once a week. We see this most with seafaring vessels, because saltwater and warmer temperatures create quick and healthy growth and fouling.
A traditional bottom paint or anti-fouling paint can help prevent growth on your hull, however they contain biocides which are harmful to aquatic life and even applicators. They are also ablative and self-sacrificial, which means you’ll have to repaint your vessel every season with harmful chemicals. Because of the anti-fouling biocides on traditional bottom paints, growth and fouling will not appear on your hull and less cleaning is required. However, these biocides are harmful to aquatic life and the environment.
Hull Pro has no biocides, and is a performance coating, which means fouling and growth will still appear on your hull. We do recommend regular cleaning, depending on your water type. When compared to bare gelcoat or a ceramic hull coating, a Hull Pro-coated vessel requires less cleaning. Hull Pro does require the same amount of cleaning as Hull Maxx, but it is more durable and lasts longer.
For lakeside vessels, organic growth and fouling is not so prominent on bare metal or gelcoated hulls. We’ve heard from customers who have left their lakeside Hull Pro-coated vessels for weeks, and even up to a full season without cleaning. When they come back to their vessels, they simply pull at the end of the season, and gas power wash at 3500 PSI minimum.
