Hull Pro for PWCs — Protection, Performance, and a Faster Ski.
Hull Pro protects your jet ski from beach landings, dock rubs, and UV damage — and makes it faster in the water. Works on fiberglass and polytec hulls. Here is what to expect.
What to expect
Hull Pro for PWCs — The Honest Summary.
Real protection where it counts
Beach landings, dock rubs, dry rack forklifts, and UV exposure all take a toll on your PWC hull. Hull Pro's hard ceramicized epoxy creates a protective barrier on both fiberglass and polytec hulls.
Measurable speed gains
Real-world testing on two Sea-Doo models showed speed gains of 1.24 to 2.49 mph after Hull Pro application. Less drag means faster speeds, quicker planing, and better fuel efficiency.
Works in any water type, any season
A freshwater rinse after every ride and an end-of-season power wash is all it takes. No recoating every season. No antifouling paint build-up slowing you down.
Why your PWC needs protection
PWC hulls take more abuse than any other vessel. Here is what Hull Pro does about it.
Jet skis are launched off trailers, beached on sandbars, docked hard, stacked on dry racks, and ridden hard in all conditions. Every one of those moments is an opportunity for gelcoat damage. Hull Pro addresses all of it.
Beach landings and keel damage
Every beach landing drags your keel across sand, shells, and rocks. Over time, bare gelcoat or polytec chips, scratches, and develops micro-abrasions that increase drag and hurt resale value.
Hull Pro's hard epoxy absorbs impact and abrasion without cracking — protecting the gelcoat and polytec underneath.
UV fading and oxidation
PWCs spend a lot of time on dry racks and trailers in direct sunlight. Without UV protection, the bottom hull fades, chalks, and oxidizes — hurting the look of the ski and its resale value.
Hull Pro blocks 85% of UV radiation — protecting the hull from fading and oxidation during storage.
Growth and fouling in the water
Even a few weeks in the water is enough for slime and algae to start on a bare hull. Hull Pro's smooth surface means growth does not bond aggressively — a power wash handles it when you pull the ski.
Hull Pro works on any water type — freshwater, saltwater, and brackish. Lift and trailer-kept PWCs get the best results.
Works on polytec hulls — not just fiberglass
Most hull coatings are designed for fiberglass only. Hull Pro's ceramicized epoxy formula bonds to polytec hulls — the material used on many Sea-Doo models — giving you the same protection and performance benefits regardless of your hull material.
How it works
A hard, smooth barrier that protects your ski on every ride.
Hull Pro's ceramicized epoxy formula bonds directly to your PWC hull — fiberglass or polytec — creating a hard, smooth protective layer. That smooth surface does two things at once: it absorbs impact and abrasion from beach landings and dock contact, and it reduces drag to make your ski faster on every ride.
It also blocks 85% of UV radiation — protecting the hull from fading and oxidation during dry rack and trailer storage. And because it is non-sacrificial, there is no recoating every season. One application protects for multiple seasons and resets completely with a power wash.
The result is a ski that holds its appearance longer, is faster in the water, and is worth more at resale. The performance proof is in the next section — real GPS-tracked speed runs before and after application.
Why PWC riders choose Hull Pro
Works on fiberglass and polytec
Most hull coatings are fiberglass only. Hull Pro bonds to polytec hulls used on many Sea-Doo models.
Beach landing and keel protection
Hard epoxy absorbs abrasion and impact without cracking or damaging the hull material underneath.
Speed gains of 1.2 to 2.5 mph
Tested on Sea-Doo RXT-X 325 and GTI 170. Fiberglass and polytec hulls both showed measurable gains.
85% UV resistance
Protects the hull from fading and oxidation during dry rack and trailer storage season after season.
No recoating every season
Non-sacrificial formula. One application protects for multiple seasons. Resets completely with a power wash.
Improves resale value
A protected, scratch-resistant hull that holds its appearance longer. Buyers notice the difference.
100% biocide-free
No copper, no toxic chemicals leaching into the water around your vessel.

6 Months with Hull Pro — Sea-Doo RXT-X 300, Florida Ski Riders
Randy from Florida Ski Riders shares his honest experience after 6 months with Hull Pro on his Sea-Doo — protection from beach landings, speed gains, and what maintenance actually looks like.
Maintenance guide
Keeping your Hull Pro-coated PWC in top shape is simple.
PWC maintenance with Hull Pro is the simplest of any application. Rinse after every ride. Power wash at season end. That's it.
In-season maintenance
Rinse after every outing
A quick freshwater rinse after every outing removes salt, algae, and debris before it has a chance to set. Takes minutes. Makes a real difference over the season.
Touch up small damage as needed
Beach landing scuff? Dock rub? Sand around the damage, apply a touch-up coat from your Mini Kit, wait 72 hours before relaunch. Your dealer logs it to your warranty file.
Open it up on the water
Running at speed helps blast off any soft growth or surface debris. If you're riding regularly, you're already doing most of the maintenance work.
End of season haul-out reset
Pressure wash first
Gas-powered pressure washer at max 4,500 PSI. For most PWC installs this is the whole job — quick, clean, done.
Light scrub if needed
3M white scouring pad with soap and water for any remaining soft growth. Always white pads — never metal or abrasive materials.
Acid wash for stubborn growth
Hull Pro handles acid-based cleaners like On and Off without delaminating. Resets the coating completely — no degradation, no recoating needed.
Pro tip: The Hull Pro 2oz Mini Kit includes everything you need for touch-ups between seasons. Store one in a climate-controlled environment out of sunlight for up to 2 years.
How long does it last
No coating lasts forever. Hull Pro included. Here is what the field data shows.
PWC installs consistently show 5+ years of solid protection for well-maintained, lift and trailer-kept skis. Less time in the water means less fouling pressure — and the coating rewards the storage setup.
When Hull Pro starts to wear, it gives you warning. Chalking, loss of beading, or drag returning are gradual signals — not sudden failures. You will know it is time before it is actually a problem.
When you hit that 5-year mark, give the hull a good look and go from there. No forced reapplication — just watch for the signs.
If your ski lives on a trailer or dry rack, 5 years is a floor. The coating rewards the storage setup — the less time in the water, the longer it lasts.
Signs Hull Pro is approaching end of protection life
Loss of gloss or sheen — dullness is often the first indicator of UV degradation
Chalking — a powdery surface residue that wipes off. Classic sign of UV-broken resin
Surface feels rough or porous where it was once smooth — coating losing film integrity
Water no longer beads on the hull surface — hydrophobic properties degrading
Increased drag sensation — ski feels slower or harder to plane
Growth returning faster than it used to — protection is thinning
